Whatever your critiques of the mainstream media or journalism are, and believe me, I've got a ton. There is an

actual ethos there. And that ethos can be shaped and it could be good, it could be bad, it can not be lived up to in the

same way that like liberalism is often not lived up to. But there's something you're aiming for. And if you get rid of

that, you do just get the village rumor at scale. People are fighting for our attention. People are trying to manipulate our attention. And if you

don't understand those forces, if you can't be in command of yourself, you're going to be in a lot of trouble. I guess
